A roller coaster with a loop and a train, built in CoasterLab's browser builder

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick a piece

Straight track, hills, turns, loops, corkscrews, boosters, brakes. Tap the ground to place it.

  2. 2

    Ride it

Press Ride and hold on. Watch the mph climb and the G-forces bite — and listen to the screams.

  3. 3

    Save & share

Every coaster saves to My Coasters, and you can share a ride by link.

What you can build

A real track library — not just straights and turns. Every piece connects, and the ride physics run the whole way.

Vertical loops

The classic. Build up speed and flip upside down.

Corkscrews

Roll the track sideways mid-flight and back.

Helixes

Spiral up, around and over.

Dive loops & Immelmanns

Half-loops that flip the ride over the top and dive back down.

Zero-G rolls

Weightless moments in mid-air.

S-curves & airtime hills

Snake side to side, then launch out of your seat.

Boosters & space launches

Orange boosters, then a launch that heads for Earth orbit, Saturn and Pluto.

Tunnels & brakes

Dive into the dark, then bring it home to the station.

The ride

Building is half the game — riding is the other half. The simulator tracks real speed and forces, so a loop that's too small means a very different ride than a loop that's just right.

  • Real mph and G-force readings while you ride
  • Passengers who scream, wave and point
  • Chase cam, free camera and Walk the Park
  • A cast of riders to meet and collect
  • Carnival games between rides — ring the bell
  • Watch replays of your best runs

Questions

How do I build a roller coaster in CoasterLab?
Pick a piece from the shelf — straight, hill, turn, loop, booster — and tap the ground to place it, connecting it to the station. When the track is ready, press Ride. Every coaster saves to My Coasters.
Do I need to download anything?
No. CoasterLab runs in any modern browser, including iPads and tablets. No app store, no download.
Is CoasterLab really free?
Free to try. Guests get a short free session, and free accounts include free play time every day plus a 7-day introduction period. CoasterLab Membership is $1 a month and removes the daily limit.
Can I save my coaster and share it?
Yes. Coasters save to your account and can be shared by link — the shared page shows the ride, not your child's identity.
Is there chat, or any way to meet strangers?
No. There is no chat, no comments, no friend requests and no public profiles. Sharing is an outbound link only.
What happens when the daily time runs out?
Nothing is ever deleted. With Park Hours, when the daily time is up the current ride finishes, the coaster saves, and the park closes until tomorrow.
What ages is it for?
Kids around six and up — and plenty of grown-ups. Parents get a dashboard to set daily time limits.
