1. Start at the station
Every coaster in CoasterLab begins at its station — your first piece is already on the ground. Everything you build grows out from there, and every ride ends back home.
In CoasterLab you build a real roller coaster piece by piece in your browser — then you ride it. Here's how a good first coaster comes together. No download, no account needed to try.

Climb pieces pull the train to the top. The higher your lift, the more speed you have to spend on everything after it. A small lift means a gentle ride; a tall one means yelling.
Drops turn height into speed, and curves and banks spend it. If the train slows to a crawl, your hill wasn't tall enough — add more climb before the next drop.
Loops, corkscrews and launch pieces unlock the more you ride. Put a loop right after a big drop so the train arrives fast enough to make it all the way around.
The track has to return to the station flat and lined up, or the train can't dock. Save one gentle stretch at the end to slow down and aim for home.
That's the whole point. Climb into the front seat, hear the announcer count you down, and ride exactly what you built — then go back and make it wilder.
Build it. Ride it.
